A single colour is a uniform

Mixed sets are for parties; single-colour sets are for sides. Eight blue bands in a stand read as one block from the opposite side of a field, and that is a different job from making a birthday table look pretty. Blue is the shade we sell most of for school nights because it survives floodlight spill better than the warmer colours and still holds its edge once the stadium lights come up.

Three modes, one wrist at a time

Each band has its own button and cycles steady, fast flash and slow flash. On a steady setting the group looks like a painted line. Switch the whole row to fast flash and it reads as motion from the far side of the pitch, which is what you want at the moment something actually happens. Because the control is per band and not per set, a row can hold a steady glow while two people on the end run a flash.

What to check before the whistle

Blue bands spend their lives in cold air, and a cold cell loses a little of its punch. We tell people to switch the whole set on indoors about ten minutes before they leave, confirm all eight are lit, then switch them off again for the walk in. It takes under a minute and it means nobody discovers a loose battery door in the dark at the top of a stand.

How this set is controlled

Every bracelet in the box is its own controller. One button on the outside cycles the light, there is no remote to lose and no sound trigger waiting on the music, so an eight-person table can run three different modes at once. Please press each battery door shut before the event starts and keep the spare cells out of reach of small children, who should be supervised while they wear a band. A lit wrist buys you the security of being able to count a group in the dark; it is not safety equipment.

Questions about this set

Can you reuse a light up bracelet?

Yes. Switch the band off with the same button, keep its spare cell with it, and it comes out of the drawer working at the next event.

How do light up bracelets work?

Two coin cells at the clasp power an LED strip inside the woven band, and the button on the outside switches it between steady, fast flash and slow flash.

How much is a bracelet?

This set is listed at $15.29 for 8 blue bands and 8 spare cr2032 cells, which works out to a couple of dollars per wrist.
